Kyocera announced at CTIA Wireless 2012 in its new Android smartphone C5170 Hydro waterproof. It IPX5 certified protection against splashing water such as rain, and is also certified IPX7 for protection against immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
The phone is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8655 processor with 512 MB of RAM and 2 GB ROM. Runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Swype keyboard before loaded.The Hydro midrange Kyocera is a sport a 3.5-inch 480 × 320 IPS LCD touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash and video camera, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi connectivity with Mobile Hotspot functionality. It supports CDMA EV-DO Rev A and 1X advanced mobile networks.
